Terms & Conditions
Clear, straightforward terms for using the NexusDB desktop application responsibly.
1. Acceptance of terms
By downloading, installing, or using NexusDB, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not install or use the application.
2. License
NexusDB is provided as a free desktop application for individual developers. The application is licensed, not sold. You may install and use it on devices you own or control. You may not redistribute, resell, or sublicense the application or its components.
3. Acceptable use
You agree to use NexusDB only with database servers you are authorized to access. You are solely responsible for the commands you execute, the data you connect to, and the consequences of running queries, imports, exports, or mutations. NexusDB provides safety guards — including dangerous-command detection and mutation confirmations — but these are aids, not a substitute for responsible use.
4. No warranty
NexusDB is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the application will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose. Use it at your own discretion and back up important data.
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, NexusDB and its contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the application, including lost data, lost revenue, or business interruption.
6. Local-first responsibility
Because NexusDB runs locally and stores your credentials and workspace data on your device, you are responsible for securing your machine, your operating system account, and any backups you choose to make. We do not have access to your local data and cannot recover it on your behalf.
7. Updates and changes
We may release updates that add features, fix bugs, or change the appearance of the application. We may also revise these terms; the current version will always live at this URL. Continued use of the application after material changes indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
8. Termination
You may stop using NexusDB at any time by uninstalling the application. The license terminates automatically if you violate these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including No warranty, Limitation of liability, and Local-first responsibility — will do so.
